STORYTELLING TO INSPIRE CONSERVATION
Date & Time: Thursday, October 21st, 2-3 pm East Africa Time (11 am GMT; 4:30 pm Indian Standard Time)
With Balipara Foundation
Have you ever wondered if just one person’s story can shape a new generation? Conservation storytellers do just that: they influence perspectives of environmental values, attitudes, and beliefs by connecting their communities with little known or under-loved places, forests and species.
Join Cynthia, Karishma, and Sandeep from Balipara Foundation for a storytelling workshop to learn about the importance of storytelling and how it can be used to advance conservation and the Sustainable Development Goals.
"BEYOND LAUGHS: USING IMPROV FOR GOOD , OUTSIDE OF THE COMEDY CLUB"
Date & Time: Oct 22, 2-4pm EAT (11 am GMT)
With Mugambi Nthiga
Improv isn’t the domain of a few talented people working in comedy clubs. We are all improvisers. We receive what life, work, family, friends and circumstances throw at us, and make something of them. That’s what improv is all about. In this session, Mugambi will take you through a series of exercises and games to free your improv voice and your spirit of play. It’s from this space that powerful storytelling can happen, and if there’s anything that the world needs, it’s positive stories about sustainability and every improviser’s role in it.
